Shipping FAQ

Who pays for shipping?

Buyers are responsible for all shipping costs unless otherwise specified in the auction listing. Shipping costs are separate from the winning bid amount.

How is shipping calculated?

Shipping costs depend on item size, weight, distance, and transport method. On lots consigned to SecondBloom directly, parcel-size items may offer carrier shipping at checkout — you pay the carrier estimate plus a small buffer, and any unused buffer is refunded once the carrier's final cost is confirmed. For all other listings, quotes are estimates only and transport is arranged after the sale.

Is shipping insured?

No — SecondBloom does not insure purchases or shipments. Where a carrier is used, only the carrier's standard liability applies. Buyers should arrange cargo coverage for high-value transport.

What if my item arrives damaged?

Report damage to the carrier immediately and take photos — title and risk pass to you when the item is released at its location, so transport damage is claimed under the carrier's standard liability. All sales are final; our support team reviews reported problems case-by-case, with no remedy guaranteed.
