APC AP7901B - SWITCHED RACK PDU, 1U, 20A, 120V, (8) NEMA 5-20R
The workhorse switched PDU for a 120V rack. Every one of the eight outlets can be turned on, off or power-cycled remotely over the network, so a hung server or switch gets rebooted from a browser instead of a drive to the site.

WHY SWITCHED MATTERS
A metered PDU tells you the rack is drawing too much. A switched PDU lets you do something about it from anywhere - sequence loads at startup, kill a locked-up device, lock out unused outlets so nobody plugs a space heater into the rack.
